The Newman lab is located within the Department of Cell Biology in the University of Virginia School of Medicine. Interested postdocs, staff scientists, and lab managers should contact Laura.

Graduate student admission is handled through the Biomedical Sciences Graduate Program (BIMS) at UVA. Interested BIMS graduate students should contact Laura about a possible rotation.

Applications from undergraduates are also welcome. Undergraduates should be aware that the particular experimental methods that we use require significant time and practice to gain competency. For this reason, applications need to convey a willingness to commit to multiple semesters of research, or a summer position in addition to semester research. Please address this in the cover letter of your application, and please also include 1) Your proposed weekly research schedule for the upcoming semester, 2) A transcript of relevant coursework, 3) A CV or resume.
